I hope everyone stayed safe, and was able to stay somewhat dry last week.  It was so nice too see the sun again!!  I can not believe that we are already in the last 3 weeks of the school year!

 This week...

Social Studies:-Last week we discussed the French and Indian War and it's effect. This week we will be researching causes of the American Revolution in research teams. Each team will come up with their own creative and exciting way to present their information to the rest of the class.

Math- This week we will continue working towards our ALEKS goals and will begin working on some skills to help prepare for 6th grade including finding the mean, median, mode, range, and understanding algebraic expressions.

Reading-   We are busy kicking off our final realistic fiction book clubs this week. We will also continue reading choice books for enjoyment and recommending great books to each other.

Writing-We are kicking off our poetry unit this week. We will be learning about and creating different types of poetry throughout the week including color poems, concrete poems,  and free style poems.
