Hello! Today was great! In math, we have 24.6. All and no mixed review. We learned how to find the elapsed time for some math problems. We also learned some more measurement types. In social studies, we researched and completed our famous African American posters for black history month. In science,we were assigned a planet for a project. Be sure to research all the questions in your science notebook! After that, we had music, and then we had lunch and indoor recess. Then, we had counseling and DARE. Then, we got ready to go home. 1/22

Today in math we learned about customary lengths and in Social studies we took a test and then in science we learned about the phases of the moon and then we went to the library and then after we went to the library we talked about edmodo and a learned how to work if and we got our group books today and we have to read the first chapter and post what we think is the problem in the story . On Friday we are having an ice cream party because we reached our goal for evaluate you are allowed to bring in toppings for the ice creams so fell free to bring them in.

Today in the wonderful Mrs. Turek's classroom we did countless things. In math we took our decimals, fractions, and percent's test I hope you all studied. In social studies we finished and looked over our study guides for the upcoming test on Tuesday. In science we decorated a our own sun, earth and moon model that even revolves! In block we learned about this years jump rope for heart program (please donate) . This evening we finished our evaluates in math and reading.


UPDATES:

Social studies test day changed to Tuesday, in math evaluate all 23 students scored 80% or improved their scores!

Today in math class we did centers and we are almost done with the lesson! We also learned some new math games about fractions and even more fractions. Tomorrow Assignment 1 is due, the cold read, and 16.4, the research and bibliography for science, and study for the DLR test.

Class blog post

Today in the beginning of the day we started with Tuesday DLR. In math we learned again how to turn a fraction into a decimal. And then we learned how to turn the decimal into a percentage. In social studies we read about the thirteen colones. In science we learned the the seasons are formed because earth is tilted on its axis. After science Mrs.Turek read Theodore Boon kid lawyer. And then we read or free write. Wednesday is early release day we will get out at 1:40pm. Next Tuesday we will take a field trip to the Sheldon.

Jan 7th

Today in math we learned how to order fractions least to greatest by giving them the same denominator and with using the shoelace method. In social studies we compared the middle colonies and the New England colonies and we learned a little bit more about each. In science we reviewed. Buckle down and learned about how plants reproduce. In reading Mrs. Turek read us some of our class book. Then we did our daily five choices.

Hello! Today was a very fun day! In math, we learned how to change a fraction to a mixed number, and a mixed number to a fraction. In social studies and science, we finished up some of our PRISM work, and in SS, we filled out a prediction sheet about what we were hoping to learn about. We also got in groups. After lunch, we had an electronic party! After that, we read for about 15 minutes. Then we packed up and left for the buses. Be sure to have your 25-question worksheet done in a week! Also do 15.3! And also remember, it's Friday! Have a good weekend!

Today in math class we learned how to change fractions into equal fractions and how to make lowest terms. In science we worked on our research for our Prism projects, tomorrow will be our last day for research. This afternoon we started The Great Mail Race and made our goals for 2013!
