Science: We are beginning our unit on force and motion. Lesson one's objective is "What is Force?"
Math: We are busy working on multiplying and dividing fractions this week! Students are not just learning the steps, they are learning how to show visually with models in order to truly understand the algorithm. See the below video we watched in class to really understand fraction multiplication!
Writing: We are publishing our last literary essay today and will celebrate tomorrow. I am so proud of the effort my class has put forth in this unit. This will be their 3rd essay! We will then begin our next big unit of study, research-based argument essay. We will begin the unit with a focused topic to research. We will learn the importance of researching both sides of the topic and taking notes to develop a paper.
Reading: This week we are wrapping up our fantasy book club unit by celebrating all of the lessons we have learned through our characters and their adventures. Be on the lookout for fantasy book talks on Seesaw! We will also begin our next unit, studying arguments and advocacy! This week we will organize an ethical research life to investigate an issue within research teams.
