Math-

We are continuing to work on chapter 8 with lessons on greatest common factor, simplest form, problem solving, least common multiple, and using the ladder method.

Writing- We are continuing our study of literary essays by growing ideas based on a shared text, craft possible thesis statements, and begin supporting our claims with mini-stories, balancing storytelling with summarizing. We will be studying a powerful short documentary called "Panyee Football Club" to use in our lessons and will write our first literary essay on it next week! Check out the video HERE!

Reading- We are studying fantasy within our book club books with lessons on learning alongside the main character, keeping track of problems that multiply, and suspending judgement because characters and places are not always what they seem.

Social Studies- We are beginning our study about the 13 colonies. We will focus on the geography of the land and how that impacted their way of living.
